Ahhhh, where to start… well i completed this experience over a year ago and its takin me this long to share it. I hear euro or moto and i continue receive a chills through my bones and back into my brain. i can feel the wetness that was in those boots everytime i see them or wear them or think of them. i swear my feet are still itchy sometimes just like after i rode from paris, france back to london, england in torrential downpour, wet for over 12 hours, water in my boots and may well have received a kiss of remembrance in the form of trench foot. not really something the average citizen should receive unless you are in the armed forces. But then again, this is all afterthought. lets get back to the beginning and let you in on some of my trip to Europe in the winter of 2023.

The purpose. fashion and work i suppose. my girlfriend Casimere and I reside in Brooklyn, ny together and we decided to travel to berlinale; germany’s largest film festival in Berlin to attend the premiere of an indie horror film she acted in, then sober berghain, London for a friends british countryside birthday celebration, gallivanting, London Fashion week , & paris for paris fashion week. wherein we rode to a parisian fashion show on a british motorcyle thanks to Triumph UK. preceding these three whirlwind weeks I left a tooth brush and journal on our flight into Berlin, only to recover it a day later at the airport, mid strike. and if you’re not familiar with european strikes let me start by letting you know that europeans take their strikes seriously and little to nothing productive happens while they are striking. So not only did my euro trip start with striking complications, but also ended with them when I couldn’t catch a ferry back to the shores of england from the shores of france one day before our departing flight back to america to visit my dwindling grandfather one last time. Reuniting with my lost journAL had me feeling ballsy and i decided to put myself out there and asked a poet to read at her event in London. she didn’t see my outreach… until after. But when she did, and by she i mean Scarlett Sabett, renowned british poet, we connected over having the same birthday among many other things which led to her inviting me to submit writing towards the forthcoming jack kerouac estate published jack kerouac anthology. Alongside heavyweights including anne waldman and van morrison. so here is me telling you to go for it. Oh, and Berghain was awesome…
